The Motivation Skills Series

Motivation comes in two fundamental forms. Positive motivation, driven by goals, ambition, optimism and the promise of achievement, tends to produce sustained, creative effort. Negative motivation, driven by fear, threat or the avoidance of punishment, can produce short-term compliance but damages trust, engagement and intrinsic drive over time. These articles explore how to build environments where people are genuinely motivated rather than merely compliant.
