    Fixing Bad Relationships At Work

    2 April 2024
Struggling with conflict? Fixing workplace relationships needs clarity, rationality and positivity. Use calm language, drop verbal anger and rebuild trust.
Fixing Bad Relationships at Work Yesterday, I was at lunch with a friend called John, who told me that everything in his life was good, except work. I asked him what he meant, and he replied, "I can't get on at work because I keep coming up against barriers; I've got barriers from my bosses who won't let me progress, and I've got barriers with my team who don't listen to me. It makes me really angry and frustrated, and I don't know what's wrong with t...

Is the Karpman Drama Triangle Good for Resolving Conflicts?

    8 November 2022
Discover why the Karpman Drama Triangle fails and how a clear, rational, positive approach creates faster, fairer conflict management that benefits every side.
Is the Karpman Drama Triangle Good for Resolving Conflicts? The Karpman Drama Triangle is NOT a good method to understand how to resolve conflicts, because the method instructs us which behaviours do NOT work, rather than telling us which behaviours do work. Models which tell us which behaviours do NOT work, are of strictly limited value. If we learn that the right answer to a problem is NOT nine, or ten, or fiftee...

Dealing With Conflicts of Interest Within a Team

    28 June 2022
Learn proven steps for conflicts of interest in teams: link every choice to the company aim, apply the three-circle compromise, and let a decision maker act.
What is the best method for dealing with conflicts of interest within a team? All organisations exist to achieve their Ultimate Aims. All organisations consist of subordinate teams, which should work together in a spirit of mutual cooperation to achieve the Ultimate Aim. Conflicts between subordinate teams are dangerous, because organisations that suffer from internal "civil wars" are highly susceptible to failure...

Customer Reviews

Here are a selection of reviews for our training courses.

  • The course was brilliant! Very informative and worthwhile. I learned a lot about myself. Will certainly use the prioritisation tool. The trainer was again, brilliant! Clear, inspiring and engaging.

  • The content was very thorough and was just enough for a day course. It covered many areas but still remained focused on key areas of professional development. Marco was an absolute star, so helpful and kept me on track and focussed. I cannot fault the delivery of the presentation at all. Had never seen the tech before, so was really impressed, allowed me to be more engaged. I didn't even look at my mobile phone all day!

  • The course was brilliant! Informative and lots of useful things to think about along with tool kits to use. I feel a lot more confident in myself and the way I will handle conflict going forward and prioritising. The trainer was excellent! I sometimes struggle with maintaining full attention for such a long time but Jez kept me listening at all times, made it fun and was very welcoming. All content was covered in an understandable and clear way.
