Day 1 - Morning: Leadership fundamentals

• Understanding the purpose of effective leadership - bringing out the best in your team and yourself.
• Identify your personal leadership approach and the impact you create.
• Establish clear objectives with an eight-step SMART framework; apply to real-world examples.
• Develop questioning techniques to collect accurate information and eliminate confusion.
• Master precise communication: employ specific language, positive framing and constructive recommendations.

Day 1 - Afternoon: Managing conflict & performance

• Address conflict logically using evidence-based communication rather than emotional responses.
• Deliver feedback focused on actions (not personal criticism); maintain dignity and self-worth.
• Prepare challenging discussions; opportunity for practice with authentic workplace scenarios.
• Distinguish between genuine reasons and excuses and handle each appropriately.
• Apply recognition, gratitude and acknowledgment to strengthen positive behaviours; create action plans.

Day 2 - Morning: Time management, productivity & delegation

• Prioritise tasks by importance and urgency (urgent vs valuable vs routine vs wasteful).
• Recognise and eliminate time-wasting factors (Personal, Colleagues, Processes).
• Assign appropriate tasks to suitable team members with clear SMART instructions.
• Control disruptions using the 80/20 principle and optimise email management.

Day 2 - Afternoon: Leading with emotional intelligence & ongoing development

• Regulate your own emotions effectively (applied mindfulness), then guide the emotional climate for others.
• Explore how expectations shape outcomes and the power of belief in performance.
• Sustain improvements through actionable follow-up and building continuous development routines.
