Valuable Time Management Training

Valuable time management training

Time management training

Every day, four times each day, ask yourself this one question:

"What is the most valuable use of my time, right now?"

The key word here is "valuable".

If you want to be more successful than you are now, then find ways to add more value, per day, to others.

Add value, to whom?

There are three categories

Try to add value to:

  1. Your family
  2. Your customers and
  3. Your employer

Why is it that you should try to add more value, even if they don't pay you any extra?

Because, if you only do what you are paid for, (or less than you are paid for) then you don't qualify for any extra. You don't get very much for in return for nothing.
But you can get unlimited amounts of cash (or anything else) in exchange for your productive efforts.
If you want to receive values from others, you can best do that that by exchanging your value for theirs.

The amount of value you add multiplied by the number of people; represents the value you can expect in return. I.e. you get your rewards commensurate to the value you add to "the marketplace".

For example:

Financially, Wayne Rooney is doing better than both of us put together, because millions of people are willing to pay large amounts of money to watch him at work. Question: How much would the average man pay to watch you or me at work?

Answer: Probably, not much.

And that is why Wayne is doing better than us: because he adds more value to millions of people, worldwide.
So, each day, your goal should be to add value to the greatest number of people that you can.

Putting the same point the other way.
Don't waste your time on things that don't add any value.

Time Management Training

Most people feel they need help with time management. How can you get more done in the same amount of time? How can you stop other people wasting your time? If you want to know how, then click here to find out more about our time management training course.

Question: How much time do you waste in a typical week?

How much time do you spend engaging in activities that don't add any value, or worse, are counterproductive or even detrimental to your long range prospects?
In the next three minutes: Make a list of three ways you waste your time.

Then, immediately, make another list of three ways that you could add value:

  1. One for your partner
  2. One for your customer
  3. One for your boss

Then, DECIDE to eliminate the three wasteful activities and replace them with your "value list" above.

Remember
Time management is all about focusing on the practical implementation of ONE simple principle:
THAT principle is "How can you add the maximum value to as many people as possible, each day?"
If you do that, then your future is assured. It will be better than the current situation.

And that would be nice.
