A message from Chris Farmer, Founder
How can I get the best performance from myself and others?
I have always been fascinated by this single question.
Even at a young age, it seemed obvious that it would be better to be positive rather than negative; to be goal-focused, productive, rational, organised, confident, optimistic, and inspirational.
So at 18, I started studying how to become more effective. I read extensively, experimented constantly, observed others, and tested ideas to see which worked and which didn't.
I have been studying these topics for over 40 years.
At 37, I founded the Corporate Coach Group. I wrote unique training programmes based on the ideas and methods I had assembled, designed to answer that same fundamental question for others.
"How can YOU get the best performance from YOURSELF and OTHERS?"
This question is at the heart of everything we teach.
A Foundation Built on Diverse Experience
My journey spans many years of training leaders and managers across both the public and private sectors, helping them achieve their organisational goals, especially during tough economic times. I'm also well aware of the disciplines and problems associated with running a business.
Before setting up the Corporate Coach Group in 1997, I worked in commercial sales. Before that, I worked for social services, supporting people with learning disabilities. Prior to that, I was a Police officer for ten years, so I am keenly aware of the ethos of public service. I also worked in the merchant navy as a marine engineer, so I understand the demands of working in a heavy engineering context.
Delivering Results Through Structured Training
Over the years, I have designed and delivered thousands of training programmes and have coached and motivated many management teams, groups and individuals. My training programmes are both structured and clear, designed to help delegates organise their thinking and, wherever necessary, to improve their techniques and skills.
I'm also an experienced motivational speaker, delivering talks at AGMs and corporate dinners.
Beyond the Classroom
In my spare time I enjoy weight training in my gym, swimming, classical guitar and reading. I'm also a proud father and husband.
