Supervisor Management Skills Training Course Overview

This two-day course covers six essential skill sets in the following order:

Day One Morning: We begin by introducing the six skills and ask you to assess your current abilities to discover where you perform strongly and where you need help. Then we focus on developing the first two skills of supervisory leadership: goal achievement and clear communication.

All teams exist to achieve goals, so we start with goal focus and how to set and achieve them. Effective communication is essential for all supervisors, so we teach you how to make yourself clearly understood. We show you how to make your meaning clear by defining key terms, using numbers, and speaking in affirmative terms. You'll have time to practise what you're learning.

Day One Afternoon: We move on to conflict management and performance management. Dealing with conflicts and poor-performance issues can be challenging for many supervisors, so we teach you how to handle them according to proper principles. You'll have time to practise the skills you're learning. We end day one by emphasising the need for supervisors to give proper appreciation and praise for good performance.

Day Two Morning: To make the team more productive and efficient, supervisors must know how to prioritise, plan, and delegate tasks correctly. In this session, we teach all the essential skills of time management, priority planning, delegation, preparation, and error prevention.

Day Two Afternoon: We wrap up the course with the final section on creating and sustaining an excellent team spirit (team culture). Supervisors learn how to create and maintain a positive, optimistic, cooperative, productive, and happy team culture.

By the end of this course, people have everything they need to be more successful in their role as a supervisor manager. You'll love it!
